opinions

I want to start getting peoples opinions on our new Presidents policies when it comes to the reform of the present marijuana laws

  1. This should be the number 1 question we are asking "Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.?"

  3. This is what Obama said in 2007 lets hold him to it "I would not have the Justice Department prosecuting and raiding medical marijuana users. It's not a good use of our resources." – Barack Obama (August 21, 2007)

  4. My idea is simple, the war on drugs is obviously not working, it is time to try another tactic, marijuana was made illegal due to misinformation and as an attempt control a work force. So with this in mind I believe that if America took another look at this plant, from another stand point they would realize that it has many more uses other than smoking, it is also a source of fuel, cloth, oils, medical implications, as well as dietary ones, and yes you can control it the same as alcohol for consumption in addition to numerous others.

There are also the facts that pertain to the economy, for example of this ask yourself some easy questions like, how much would be saved if we stopped having to prosecute or try these cases, then how many of these people would either become tax paying citizens again, then how much money could be gained by decriminalizing it for various forms of trade, genetically altering the potency, packing it like ciggaretts, and then taxing and selling it, it could be billions across the nations, then the billions saved from getting more people paying taxes instead of letting us pay to house them. Studies have shown that those with an addictive personality will become addicted no matter what the drug or the legality of it.

If one were to do the research on this topic they would see that it was made illegal under false pretenses and based on that alone the laws should be recant and reevaluated as a misjustice to minorites and an out right lie to the American public. This is a plant thatcan be used for biofuel and is replenished 2-3 times faster, can be traded to other countries in other forms to make billions,There are now 28 states whom have made it legal for possesion and the list is growingwe can either get on board and start to shape this the way that helps America or we can let each state make it's own laws about this and have a harder time of uniformity later. One thing we can all agree on is the war on drugs is not working, prison tears apart families and trains them be be harder criminals and he war on drugs is not working. join the rvolution at chane.org
